Seven Seraphs is one of the five human factions of the Guardians of the City.

• The number seven in the faction's name is a nod to Bungie's recurring use of the number 7.
• Seraph literally means 'burning one'. A Seraph, (pronounced Saraph) also known as seraphim, Is a celestial being, and are a variant of angels in the Jewish and Christian faiths. Seraphs are usually described as six winged beings who surround God's throne in heaven. A seraph is also a member of the highest order of angels.
