The Hunter is a type of Guardian who uses stealth and long ranged weapons to kill his/her enemies.[1]
Abilities
All Guardians have certain abilities, some of which are granted by the Traveler, others which may appear more mundane in nature.[2]These abilities can be upgraded over time[3] and can be used in competetive PvP.[4]
The Hunter has 2 known special abilities:
- Golden Gun: The Hunter's weapon is charged with golden energy that deals large amounts of damage to a target.[5]
- Another ability (confirmed as the Hunter's "grenade-type" ability) is the creation of several red explosive projectiles which float in the air & home in on nearby enemies.[5]
Trivia
Destiny marks the third time a group of entities in a Bungie game has been named "Hunters", the other two being Marathon and Halo. It also marks the first time that Hunters are not an enemy species.
