Bykov was a soldier in the Seraphs under the command of Rasputin. When the Warmind began making preparations for the impending Collapse, Bykov was assigned to oversee the transfer of munitions and other supplies into an underground bunker. First Lieutenant Artur Voronin questioned him about where they were sending the supplies, but Bykov merely frowned at him before returning to inspecting his list.
