"This won't end well for one of us. And darling, it won't be be me."
— Olu Alderdice

Olu Alderdice was a freelance Hunter and inventor who was active sometime around the Red War. Notorious for her inventions, Olu created many products oriented for clandestine, almost theatrically spy-like, occasions. Most notably, the self-styled "Lady" is the creator of the Mechaneer's Tricksleeves, a set of exotic gauntlets for the Hunter class. Her other wares include, but are not limited to, spring-razor petticoats, electrified fascinators, and arsenic lipstick.[1]

Like any Hunter, Olu Alderdice was not without a list of individuals offended by her lifestyle. In particular, Olu and her inventions were banned from a business known as the Seven Stars, with failure to comply meaning a physical altercation with the establishment's bouncer, Karl. She was also an associate with the Spider and his Fallen crime syndicate based out of the Tangled Shore. She supplied the kingpin with transmat devices which encompassed all of his territory.[2]

Personality and traits

Regality in her own right, Olu Alderdice was a very personable, and very untrusting individual. Her relationships varied from the hostility of the Seven Stars, to a workplace animosity with the Hunter Cayde-6. She shared a cordial relationship with the Spider, although even he was wary to trust Lady Alderdice entirely, refraining from exchanging a handshake with the self-styled Lady.[2]

Trivia

  • Like Cayde-6, Olu seems to have her own series of caches littered throughout the solar system, with at least one known to be located on Deimos.[3]
