Aark was a swampy world whose population was driven to extinction by the Hive. The Hive occupied the planet afterwards, and their presence corrupted the planet into having rotting landmass and mountains that sprouted tumors. A simulation of Aark was used by the Cabal in a training program for pilots to fight against the Hive and see what their foes did to worlds they conquered.
