- "The Fallen prepare to attack Failsafe's mainframe aboard the Exodus Black"
- — In game description
Exodus Siege is an Adventure located on Nessus. It is unlocked in tandem with all other adventures on Nessus after completing the mission Six. This adventure is in a prelude to the strike Exodus Crash.
During the course of Exodus Siege the Fallen attempt to destroy the Exodus Black and Failsafe in order to melt it down into scrap to scavenge, however the player manages to stop them and drive off the assault. The player then follows the Fallen transmissions back to their source in the Chamber of Sky where Elyksul, Assault Leader is discovered to be orchestrating the assault from behind the safety of several invincible shields derived from Vex technology. Evidently the player failed to destroy all such shield generators during the adventure Unbreakable, and the Fallen, led by Elyskul have managed to steal the technology and use it to their own ends. The player uses Arc Charges to overload the shield generators, get at Elyksul and kill him, ending the assault and saving Failsafe and the Exodus Black.

Commander Zavala: Guardian, there's a cloaked Fallen in your vicinity. Neutralize it, we need to confirm a theory.
- Seek the Cloaked Scout
- Seek out a Fallen scout under stealth to get his report
- The player locates the Marauder "Assault Scout" and kills them, collecting the "Scout Report".
Ghost: We found something on the body. These are coordinates to the Exodus Black!
Zavala: Indeed. We have reports that the Fallen plan to destroy failsafe's mainframe and scrap her for parts.
Ghost: Not on our watch! We're on our way, Failsafe!
Failsafe (Cheery): Thank you very much! Continued existence is one of my prime directives. It was the Cayde-Unit who led the Fallen to me! (Depressed): He totally blew my cover. All of this is his fault.

'Ghost: Zavala, I'm picking up a Fallen signal from a nearby cave. I think that's where they're getting their orders. How about we take out their leadership?
Zavala: [That's how you ended the House of Wolves. {Veterans} | That's how you folded the Red Legion {After completing the Red War campaign}]. Do what you have to do.
- Follow the Fallen Signal
- Follow the signal to reach the Fallen Commander behind the assault.
- The player follows the signal into the nearby Chamber of Sky
- Chamber of Sky
- Inside, progress is blocked by several barriers running from wall to wall across the massive cavern, preventing the player's further advancement. The Fallen are all throughout the area.
Ghost: I... wow.
Zavala: "Wow" is not a helpful term on the battlefield, Ghost.
Ghost: So the Fallen signal is coming from behind a massive barrier powered by Vex tech. Look's like they've stolen themselves a toy.
- Take Down the Shield
- Kill Fallen leaders to get the keys needed to lower the assault shield
- Pick Up Arc Charge
- The player finds a terminal for a generator powering the barrier shield.
- Interact
- The terminal is overloaded by the influx of Arc energy and the first barrier is lowered.

- The player finds Elyksul, Assault Leader, along with some more Fallen. The player kills Elyksul.
Ghost: All right. I think we've got this taken care of. That Fallen crew won't be bothering you anymore, Failsafe.
Zavala: Good work. All of you.
Failsafe: You have my thanks, friendly Ghost, Captain. You are clearly optimised to solve problems created by the Cayde-unit. That must be one of your designated day-to-day functions!
{End Gamelay}
{End Mission}
Trivia
- The mechanism of killing a specific enemy unit, collecting the Arc Charge it drops and then using the Arch Charge to overload a generator powering an indestructible Vex tech shield is identical to the mechanics employed during the adventure Unbreakable, also on Nessus, which ended with Failsafe saying that she hoped the Vex did not have the resources to create their indestructible shields a second time. Evidently, as Ghost identifies the shields being used in this adventure as "Vex tech", and the process of disabling them is identical, the Vex did have a second shield generating system which was not destroyed by the player, and which was very likely stolen by the Fallen led by Elyksul, Assault Leader.
