Ravagers are a class of melee-focused Scorn.[1]

Overview

Ravagers wield flaming censers as weapons, charging their foes head-on before slamming their censer into the ground—causing an explosion that leaves a lingering pool of fire which inflicts damage to all enemies caught within its range.

Whilst fierce, their censer weapons can be exploited as a strategic weakness. Targeting the fiery head of the censer will cause a Solar explosion. The flames from the explosion will immediately consume the Ravager, while also damaging/killing nearby enemies. If the Ravager is killed first, their censer will remain on the ground—vulnerable to being shot and exploding in the same manner as when the Ravager was still alive. This can allow for a sort of trap-laying tactic, wherein a Guardian kills a Ravager without shooting their censer, allowing other enemies to walk over the corpse, then shooting the censer. The censer then acts rather like an explosive barrel, consuming the Ravager and nearby enemies with its raging Solar flames, while also setting off any nearby other censers from other slain Ravagers.

Occasionally, you may encounter Ravagers with a Stasis Censer. These Censers when swung down will launch a line of Stasis crystals forward that, if they hit, will freeze you for 2 seconds, and if the Censer is shot it will release an explosion that will freeze surrounding Scorn. The line of Stasis crystals seems to replace the lingering pool of fire.
