The Nightmare of Carun, Beastmaster is a Cabal Incendior Nightmare and a member of Calus's Loyalists. It can appear within the Pleasure Gardens aboard the Derelict Leviathan.

Gameplay

While you are exploring the Pleasure Gardens area of the Derelict Leviathan, there is a chance that a message will pop up, saying "A distant snore of sleeping War Beasts...". Head over to the giant, golden statue of Calus in the far center of the room and drop down the hatch at its feet, where you will enter a room with several Nightmare War Beasts inside. Once they are alerted to your presence, you will receive another message, this time reading "Powerful Nightmares begin to slip away", indicating that if you do not defeat all of the enemies fast enough, they will despawn and you will to wait for another chance. You will have to fight off several Elite-tier Legionaries and War Beasts, as well as Psion Majors – all of whom deal large amounts of damage and can quickly overwhelm and kill you if you do not take them out fast.

After killing enough enemies, Carun will finally arrive. Like other Nightmare bosses, it is extremely durable highly resistant to all, and your attacks will deal very little damage against it. However, The lesser enemies that spawn will drop Unstable Essence upon death, which will allow you to deal more damage the Beastmaster. If you successful in defeating the Nightmare of Carun before it despawns, you can claim your loot from the chest that appears, and you will also be awarded the 'Sporest of Beasts' Triumph.
