Where is this information from? CraZboy557 (talk) 19:01, 17 February 2013 (EST)
- I got it from http://www.ign.com/videos/2013/02/17/destiny-concept-art-analysis and http://www.forbes.com/sites/michaelvenables/2013/02/17/bungies-destiny-unveiled/ -- Sgtfrankieboy
- Thx. I actually found the links already at another article. CraZboy557 (talk) 19:13, 17 February 2013 (EST) Ok, not the Forbse one. How do we know the green ones are Cabal?
- It's said in the Concept Art Analysis Video, The middle one is an Cabal the others are Fallen and Rangers. Sgtfrankieboy (talk) 19:24, 17 February 2013 (EST)
- Anyone else think these guys look like the product of a drunken one-night-stand between a Judoon and an Space Marine? - DJenser (talk) 15:07, 22 March 2013 (EDT)

Okay, I saw a comment on the Bungie Forum that got me to thinking, & I took a closer look at the concept art of the Cabal and Fallen patrol searching for the Hunter. Upon further examination, I have to agree that it looks less like an "alliance" and more like the Cabal & Fallen in that picture are reanimated corpses of some sort. Take a look for yourselves... The armor is cracked, scored, & bullet-riddled, not to mention the fact that smoke & unholy green light are pouring out of their bodies. I haven't seen any indications of running lights on the Cabal's armor & the Fallen gear seems to have red, orange or blue lights. The fact that it's the same color for both species (to say nothing of the fact that it's pouring out of holes & gaps in their armor) suggests to me that there's more going on here than an simple alliance of species. I think they're under the control of another party... Maybe Hive? ...But that's just my .02 Glimmer... - DJenser 17:10, 13 August 2013 (EDT)
- Ooh… I hadn't noticed that. The smoke and green lights is very reminiscent of the Hive. I have to agree, this is the most probable reason for their "alliance". Would anyone be opposed to me (or anyone else that wants to) changing this article, and the Fallen article, to show this? —TentacleTornado 07:27, 17 August 2013 (EDT)
- Yeah, we might want to make the change. We shouldn't put it down as confirmed either way, just present both possibilities. Always use the DMR. This is craZboy557, signing off. 09:24, 17 August 2013 (EDT)
Fallen Alliance Speculation
Seeing as all of this is entirely speculation, should it really be included within the article? It seems pointless without any official details or even remarks about it.--Mythic (talk) 14:05, 22 August 2013 (EDT)
Factions?
On several of the renders, you can see Cabal soldiers in different colors (red, blue, green), similar to the Fallen and their different colored cloaks. Has it been confirmed that there are Cabal factions? OmgHAX! (talk) 21:10, 20 June 2014 (EDT)
Missing Factions
Based on the strategy guide and some footage I think there's at least three factions not covered by the grimoire. One's black armor with skulls, one's got brushes on their helmets and appears in the valus tau'aurc fight, and one i think is blueish armor with reddish trim. I'm going to try and find out more. Broken Link
I cannot access the Planet View website. I've tried it on two different browsers and both times it says "Error: Forbidden Your client does not have permission to get URL / from this server." Was the site taken down? If so, then we'll need to update our links. Dante the Ghost (talk) 23:22, 17 July 2016 (EDT)
Sources for Destiny 2 Cabal weapons?
I notice we already have quite a few pages for the new Cabal weapons in Destiny 2, but can anyone source them? The Cabal Slug Shotgun is the only weapon I'm certain we have an official name for (source: 14:09 in the video found here), but I don't know what it looks like. We need sources for the Cabal Sniper Rifle, Gladiator Cleaver, Explosive Crossbow, Energy Rifle (which I think might be the Cabal Slug Shotgun), Heavy Energy Cannon (which may be the "Cabal Bronto Cannon", which also needs a source), and the Flamethrower. If sources can't be found, then maybe creating these pages was premature since we will have to move them to their official names and update their links. MorningWalker (talk) 23:36, 22 May 2017 (EDT)
- I can't speak for that, unfortunately. I've yet to watch anything. -- Δαντε τηε Γηοστ Ι ωονδερ ιφ Ικορα γιϝες ηυγς το Γηοστσ. Ηεη... ανψωαψς, νιξε ωορκ. Τηις ις ωηατ Ι υσεδ. 23:42, 22 May 2017 (EDT)
- Ok. I'll keep sifting through videos, I may have missed something. And while we're at it, Shock Spear Fallen and Shock Spear also need sources. I just want to make sure we're not getting ahead of ourselves and making up names for new things on the fly. Conjectural titles should only be used as a last resort, when official sources aren't forthcoming with an official name we can use. MorningWalker (talk) 23:46, 22 May 2017 (EDT)
History of the Cabal on Mars
Now usually, the Cabal's history is usally explained during the Wolf Rebellion, the Taken War, and most of the Red War. But what about the history of the Cabal during vanilla destiny or base game when we defeat Valus Ta'aurc and other leaders. This should also be in much greater detail in the history section other than the former information as well. Titan66 (talk) 20:47, 07 September 2017 (EDT)
- We simply don't have the information. I mean, we might get some inkling when I do all of the D1 flavor text in a master page, but not atm. The Cabal weren't focused on during D1. -- Δαντε τηε Γηοστ Ι ωονδερ ιφ Ικορα γιϝες ηυγς το Γηοστσ. Ηεη... ανψωαψς, νιξε ωορκ. Τηις ις ωηατ Ι υσεδ. 23:15, 7 September 2017 (EDT)
Page Split
Should this page be split into two? One for the Cabal as a species, and another for the Cabal Empire, which contains several different species?--ForgottenJedi (talk) 19:42, 17 September 2017 (EDT)
That sounds like a good idea but we don't have that much information on the empire itself let alone enough to build an article on that alone. Most of what we know of the empire comes from Cabal-related material, so it'll have to stay until we get some more concrete details, like a national banner. -- Δαντε τηε Γηοστ Ι ωονδερ ιφ Ικορα γιϝες ηυγς το Γηοστσ. Year 1 History of the Cabal
Now Arcmind or whoever is editing the Cabal section can finally put Vanilla Destiny Cabal Campaign missions and Cerberus Vae III or Psion Flayer strikes. Basically put Cabal information from year 1 in that section along with year 2 and year 3 information after that as well. Titan66 (talk) 16:52, 20 September 2017 (EDT)
- Can't include Year 3. They were only around for 1 story mission. Primus Draug'oth Can I help you? • No, you do it. 17:05, 20 September 2017 (EST)
- Yeah I'll do that too. Arcmind Execute long hold for reactivation. AI-COM/ACMD SIGNOFF 17:15, 20 September 2017 (EDT)
Cabal Language
In game I hear a highly aspirated sound similar to "let's go", and it is heard during encounters with the Cabal. I speculate that this may be one of the words that mean advance.—This unsigned comment was made by 208.53.227.15 (talk • contribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~
Who knows, Dregs have obviously shown they can speak English with when they see the player they scream "The Darkness" then some Fallen gibberish. Perhaps some things in these species' native tongue are cognates, which are things like "No", were they're the same in English and Spanish. Perhaps "Let's go" is simply a cognate between us and Cabal. That or they're saying something else and it just sounds like "Let's go" to us. ---Virgil the Ghost
Cabal Republic?
Well since Dominus Ghaul, The Consul, Primus Sha'aull, Primus Ta'aun, Valus Thuun, Val Ca'uor, and Bracus Zahn are dead, what if, due to this situation, and the death of Ghaul, What if the Cabal became a Republic, as possibly their economy is doomed, because of Ghaul's death, the Cabal became a Republic as a only choice of survival? Joskaa, Lion Kell What's the problem? All in a day's work...well for me, (heh heh) 17:30, November 8, 2019 (EST)
