Age of Renewal is the ninth expansion of Destiny 2 and the thirteenth expansion of the Destiny franchise. It differs from previous expansions in that it does not add a new campaign to the game but rather was developed to return all content that remained in the Destiny Content Vault as well as tweak the story and gameplay of the returning campaigns. It was also released free of charge outside of the accompanying seasons.
