"Subroutine IKELOS: Status reinitiated. APOTHEOSIS: Status active…"
— In-game description

IKELOS_SG_V1.0.1 is a Legendary Shotgun introduced in the Warmind expansion for Destiny 2 and can be acquired from Escalation Protocol. The bosses that can drop it are Nur Abath, Crest of Xol, Naksud, the Famine, and Bok Litur, Hunger of Xol.

Overview

Similarly to all the other IKELOS weapons, this Shotgun looks like it was manufactured by Rasputin, the last remaining Warmind in the Sol System. It belongs to the highest rate-of-fire archetype of Shotguns in Destiny 2. This gun comes with a perk called "Trench Barrel", which substantially increases damage per shot (with a stricter range falloff) for a short time after melee attacks. Because of the main perk, and its fast-ROF archetype, this gun is capable of putting out immense damage numbers, which can be further amplified by class abilities such as Melting Point on Titans and Empowering Rifts on Warlocks, or the debuff from Tractor Cannon.

Weapon Perks

Column 1

Rapid-Fire Frame: Fires full auto with deeper ammo reserves. Faster reload when weapon is empty.

Column 2

Rifled Barrel: Ranged shotgun barrel. Increases range, greatly decreases handling speed.

Hammer-Forged Rifling: Durable ranged barrel. Increases range.

Polygonal Rifling: Barrel optimized for recoil reduction. Increases stability.

Column 3

Trench Barrel: After a successful melee hit, this weapon gains increased damage, accuracy, and handling --within stricter damage falloff-- for a short time.

Column 4

Tactical Mag: this weapon has multiple tactical improvements. Slightly increases stability. Increases reload speed. Slightly increases magazine size.

Column 5

Moving Target: Increasing movement speed and target acquisition when moving while aiming down sights.

Threat Detector: Increased reload, stability, and handling when enemies are in close proximity.
