Start

Ikora acknowledges your approach with a short bow before handing you a datapad.

"Guardian, I've received a number of alarming sightings from Hidden patrolling the EDZ. Scorn, on Earth."

Ikora watches your reaction before continuing.

"Crow already confirmed trails of Dark Ether leading into the mountains of the EDZ. I'd like you to lead a team off his intel and figure out where they're coming from."

Ikora steps forward, "And, once you do, put a stop to it."

Step 1

Complete the "Warlord's Ruin" dungeon in the EDZ.

  • Completed

You were tasked with assisting Crow in investigating Scorn sightings near a ruined Dark Age castle in the EDZ.

"[Datapad, summarized]
-Scorn Raider sighted in sector EDZ-R5
-Scorn Raiders, 5-7, sighted in sector EDZ-R4
-Taken migration from Sludge to sector EDZ-R
-Scorn Chieftain engaged in sector EDZ-R2, potential [redacted] in play, retreated into mountains
-External operative confirmed Dark Ether trail
-Guardian fireteam requested
"

Step 2

Collect a corrupted Ahamkara Bone.

The remains of the Ahamkara beckon you forth…

"'Don't be afraid. Come a little closer."

Step 3

Collect five Dark Ether Tinctures.

  • Dark Ether Tinctures found 0/5

Hefnd has tasked you with finding the first of his bones, stolen by wishful Scorn who believe the bones are sacred relics of power.

"See how they feed their totems blight and bone? They believe it worship. They believe this ground sacred. Their small desires feed my power. Feed… you, O vengeance mine."
— Hefnd, Blighted in Vengeance

Step 4

Find and restore three lost Bones of Hefnd:
- First Bone: Across the bridge inside the first fort, before an arresting Knight assails you.
- Second Bone: Across from imprisonment, after ascending through the ceiling.
- Third Bone: At the top of the summit, face back from the cliff and find shelter.

  • Bone of Hefnd 0/4
  • Dark Ether Tinctures found 0/30
  • Blighted Wishing Glass found 0/3

Wish upon the Bones of Hefnd to unlock doors with a level 1 corruption and uncover more fragments.

"The Scorn carry my bones like relics. They worship, they pray, they form rituals. They place them on shrines to bring good fortunes, but with each wish made in ignorance, I dig their graves deeper."
— Hefnd, Blighted in Vengeance

Step 5

Find and restore three more lost Bones of Hefnd:
- Fourth Bone: In the snowfallen maze, through the broken wall, seek the banner of kings.
- Fifth Bone: Cross into the Tempest, through the portcullis, at the sewer's mouth.
- Sixth Bone: At summit's base, find shelter off the beaten path. Too far, and the Taken will descend upon you.

  • Bone of Hefnd 0/7
  • Dark Ether Tinctures found 0/60
  • Blighted Wishing Glass found 0/3

Wish upon Bones of Hefnd to unlock doors with a level 3 corruption and uncover more fragments.

"These vermin claim what is mine, again, as if to repeat the past. Soon it will be over. I can feel blight overtaking me, O vengeance mine. When judgement is had, you must end me as well."
— Hefnd, Blighted in Vengeance

Step 6

Find and restore the three final lost Bones of Hefnd:
- Seventh Bone: Within the maze, stride spanning a pitfall, light calls through the window.
- Eighth Bone: The Taken roil at cave's bottom sends you to scurry over boulders into a ruined alcove.
- Ninth Bone: Within a tunnel on the broken cliffs, brave the Taken storm.

  • Bone of Hefnd 0/10
  • Dark Ether Tinctures found 0/80
  • Blighted Wishing Glass found 0/4

Wish upon the Bones of Hefnd to unlock doors with a level 2 corruption and uncover more fragments.

"I am soon-to-be whole again, and it brings my heart joy to see these rotted kings break against you. Enough of this sad world. All is soon to be well. I am coming to see you again, Naeem."
— Hefnd, Blighted in Vengeance

Step 7

Gather Blighted Wishing Glass and Dark Ether Tinctures to empower the portal in the Blighted Keep.

  • Dark Ether Tinctures found 0/120
  • Blighted Wishing Glass found 0/5

Activate the teleporter.

"One final task is yours. Gather what power remains in this ruined place, and open the way to my resting skull."
— Hefnd, Vengeance Sated

Step 8

Return to Hefnd's Cairn.

  • Reclaim Hefnd's Bones 0/1

The lost bone fragments have been recovered and restored. Return them to their owner, that they may be at peace.

"Naeem's wish is fulfilled. Return my bones to where Naeem enshrined them, and let my spirit finally find rest."
— Hefnd, Vengeance Sated

Step 9

Return to Ikora and report your findings.

  • Incomplete

With vengeance had, and the Scorn back in the ground, all that remains is to debrief with Ikora at the Bazaar in the Last City.

"I wonder how many other long-buried bones still hold fast to their last living desires," Ikora says, as you approach. "Anger can keep that fire burning for a long time."

Ikora sighs, "Hopefully revenge was enough."

"Now these Scorn, from House of Kings… I had assumed they belonged to the Witness, or were connected to the Pyramid incursion into the EDZ months ago. I was not expecting… this."

Ikora's head droops as she considers the situation.

"I'll assign a watcher to the area to make sure they stay buried this time. Hopefully this is the last we hear of Scorn on Earth."
