Vry'lak, Retainer of the Chantry is a Tormentor servant of Shin'ra, the Forge Master. It was charged by the Witness prior to its own defeat to be a servant to the Hive Disciple, from which it would be employed to protect the massive chantry within the Forged Pyramid of Shin'ra. It would be the one behind the scenes, sending the forces of the Dread, Hive and Taken to protect the Chantry from further incursions from the Guardians before standing against them itself.
