Under the full control of the Witness, the Shadow Legion are amassing a force to fight alongside House Salvation and the Hive. Fight through the depths of the Typhon Imperator and stop this threat.

The Takedown in the Typhon Imperator is a Cabal Takedown released as part of the Into the Light Update. Guardians are tasked with trekking into the deepest depths of the Typhon Imperator to prevent the Shadow Legion's attempts to attack the City alongside the rest of the Witness' forces, including the House of Salvation and the Hive. Similar to Takedowns before it, players must race through the colossal Pyramid ship to earn Shadow Legion-themed gear and weaponry, and a chance to earn the Lost Opulence Exotic Grenade Launcher, through difficult puzzles and a more ferocious opposition.

Overview

As the Guardians battled the forces of House Salvation and the Hive on Earth, the Vanguard would pick up a transmission from Nimbus talking about increased Shadow Legion activity within the Typhon Imperator. Believing the Shadow Legion were preparing to join the attack on Earth, Lord Shaxx assembled a Guardian fireteam to venture into the deepest depths of the Typhon Imperator and cripple the Shadow Legion before they can join the assault on the City.

Similar to Takedowns before it, there is a lack of mechanics-based encounters alongside the lack of checkpoints, offering only three positions to save: the beginning, after defeating Thumug and after defeating Tar'anurn for players attempting to get the Lost Oppulence.
