Hobgoblins are a type of Vex. They are larger and more dangerous than Goblins, and have distinctive tails. They are usually armed with sniper-like Line Rifles that are capable of a large amount of damage at long range, and they are incredibly accurate. When shot, Hobgoblins will briefly project an impenetrable shield that renders them completely immune to all forms of damage. Guardians who step in this shield are inflicted with the "Burning" debuff until they step out. Occasionally, Hobgoblins make use of Slap Grenades to force players out of cover and push them back.
