The Tarnished Chieftain is a common Major variant of the Scorn Chieftain. They were first encountered during the expansion The Witch Queen. Over time, many other Major Chieftains and Corrupted Chieftains have been renamed to Tarnished Chieftain, like the one in the Preservation mission guarding the "Give" room, or the ones that try to stop the Guardians from taking the plates in the Birthplace of the Vile Strike.
