The Zorpalods are a race of enemies first mentioned in Season of the Malignant.

History

As the war between the Hive and the Ecumene raged, the Zorpalods and Astrodemons were the only civilizations that prepared for a potential mass exodus in the (at the time) unlikely event that the battle shifted in favour of the Hive. This preparation paid off, as half their populations were able to successfully evacuate. After the decimation of the Ecumene, the Zorpalods swore vengeance on all things Paracausal.

At some point, according to Shaw Han, the Zorpalods, led by Zargwe, engaged Ravana, the Worldeater and his Protodemon army in a great war that killed almost all of humanity; however, both the Zorpalods and Protodemons were killed by Mallory Bertha, who subsequently destroyed the world.

• Finishing a Zorpalod while it is frozen can sometimes result in the player being gargalost.
• When the perk, Zorpal Weapon, was introduced, the Zorpalods became the first enemy race to have a weapon perk made that only targets them.
