Gahlran is a member of Emperor Calus' Loyalist faction. He was born for the specific purpose of wielding a Hive artifact, the Crown of Sorrow, and using its powers to further Calus' goals. The Crown, however, was stronger than expected, and it made Gahlran lose his mind.
After the Guardian infiltrates his Kingdom of Sorrow, he confronts them and tries to defend himself with help from his Gahlran's Deception. Gahlran and his Deception are ultimately slain by the Raid fireteam.
