Transcript
Original
Eris Morn: You took power from this Pyramid once before, Guardian. Ikora believes there is more to be found.
Ghost: How will communing with Darkness help us understand the voices we heard when we found Sagira's shell?
Eris Morn: Reach the statue at the heart of the Pyramid. Strengthen your connection to the Darkness, and you will see beyond the limitations of normal sight.
- The Guardian confronts and defeats Cabal
Ghost: Interesting. I'm picking up a Cabal transmission. I pulled a clip for you.
Caiatl: To the warriors of the Cabal Empire: defectors march upon the Europan Pyramid, searching for trinkets of Darkness.
Caiatl: Their expedition is not sanctioned. Any that join them act alone.
Caiatl: My father's obsession with the voice in the Darkness must not infect our own ranks.
Ghost: I guess this means the Empress won't mind us fighting our way in.

- The Guardian traverses the Pyramid
Ghost: Eris, the Pyramid is reacting to our presence somehow. Opening doors, moving platforms…
Eris Morn: Perhaps it sends something in you. When I explored these strange passageways, I felt it sensed something in me too.
Eris Morn: I resented it at first. To believe it recognized in me some secret kinship…
Eris Morn: But like you, Guardian, I have learned to use it.
- The Guardian defeats Cabal
Ghost: There are Cabal supplies everywhere. It looks like they're trying to establish a foothold inside the Pyramid.
Eris Morn: Hoping to pillar artifacts of Darkness for their war against war itself, I assume.
Eris Morn: Xivu Arath destroyed their homeworld, and the conquerors do not take well to being conquered.
- The Guardian defeats Cabal
Ghost: I think that device is jamming the Pyramid's movements somehow.
- The Guardian disables the jammer

Ghost: You said the Pyramid recognizes something in us, Eris… but what?
Eris Morn: A defender. A finely honed blade. A curiosity. It could be any of those, or none.
Eris Morn: Ikora, too, has asked this question, and my answer is always the same… pure speculation.
- The Guardian traverses the Pyramid
Eris Morn: I worry the ambiguity weighs on her too heavily.
- The Guardian enters a doorway
- The Guardian defeats Cabal
Ghost: I don't think the Pyramid is helping us out of generosity, Guardian. It's manipulating us, using us somehow.
Ghost: The Darkness is a neutral force, but the Pyramids have an agenda. Until we know what it is, we can't let our guard down.

Ghost: Something must control these ships, but we've never seen a pilot.
Eris Morn: In her journeys beyond the heliopause, Queen Mara Sov encountered the entity that commands the Pyramids.
Eris Morn: She said its mind spoke louder than any other she has ever heard. A cacophony of thought. Perhaps those voices steer these ships.
Eris Morn: One of those voices spoke to you in the Black Garden as well.
- The Guardian defeats Cabal
- The Guardian goes further up the Pyramid through a tractor beam
Ghost: Ikora said that this new ability allows you to see "psychic imprints" of past events
Ghost: And if you commune with the Pyramid, you might be able to see the imprint on Sagira's shell.
Ghost: It's strange. The Light makes you forget, and now the Darkness helps you remember.

Ghost: Eris, we communed with the statue. We can't tell yet if anything has changed. It seems like we might not notice the effects until we're back in Savathûn's throne world.
Ghost: Either way, we don't want to stay here longer than we have to.

(Mission begins)
- Cayde-6: Europa — I ain't even there, and I can feel all that cold in my bones.
- Micah-10: Do... you remember Europa, Cayde?
- Cayde-6: Bits and pieces, yeah. I ain't a bit fan of numbers lower than six, but there's still pieces of them in here, rattling chains. Haunting.
- Micah-10: Guardian, my fears were correct. Anwar's signal was last detected inside the Europan Pyramid. Complicating matters, you aren't alone here. There is a detachment of Cabal that landed a few hours ago. Elsie sent me data on their movements.
- Ghost: They don't appear to be Witness-aligned forces. This could be more of Otzot's people.
- Micah-10: I'd heard rumors of some fracturing after Calus' death, but... I don't know what to make of this.
- Cayde-6: Well, some people feel more comfortable with a leash around their neck... whether it's guiding them to behave, or misbehave.
The Guardian approaches the Europan Pyramid, fighting their way through Cabal, including two Goliath Tanks. After interacting with a Crux of Darkness, they enter the Pyramid.
- Micah-10: Seems as though the Cabal have made it inside the Pyramid. Scans from Ghost show movement near the heart of the structure and unsettling activity inside. It's like the Pyramid is reacting to your presence, anticipating something.
- Cayde-6: Did you ever figure out who was flying this? Crow gave me a lowdown on the situation, and that part was, y'know, suspiciously blank.
- Micah-10: We did not.
The Guardian progresses through the Pyramid.
- Micah-10: Cayde? Do you remember anything from your first Exo incarnation?
- Cayde-6: Some. Ain't... exactly happy to talk about what I do, either.
- Micah-10: Was there a child?
- Cayde-6: I think. I don't know. I remember bits and pieces. Shadows of faces. It's all... it's all a jumble, Micah. Why?
- Micah-10: [sighs] It's nothing. It can wait for a more private moment.
After fighting their way through more of the Cabal, including an Imperial Deserter, the Guardian approaches the statue.
- Cayde-6: Oh, that's one of those big, screamy statues.
- A Dissenter: What is done must be undone. Your time is running out. Your time is running out!
- Cayde-6: Aaand they're screaming here too. Cool.
The Guardian approaches a calcified statue and sends their Ghost to scan it. Once the scan is complete, they disable the devices suppressing the statue, calling in Valis Dralgur, the Exiled. Once the Colossus has been defeated, the Guardian communes with the statue.
After the Guardian defeats Valus Dralgur, the Exiled, they commune with the statue.
- Ghost: I'm having a hard time picking up Anwar's signal. It stops here, at the statue.
- Micah-10: Oh. [exhales] Oh no...
- Ghost: Micah, what's wrong?
- Micah-10: Elsie just... found him. [clears throat] Shards of him. Anwar. At the Ziggurat.
- Ghost: I... No... He's dead?
- Micah-10: We should go collect his remains.
- Ghost: We'll go right away. I'm... so sorry, Micah.
- Micah-10: [sighs] Me too, Ghost.
- Cayde-6: Hey, kid. Why don't I come down and meet you? We can chat about whatever. Anything, your pick.
- Ghost: Thank you, Cayde.
