The Gift Mast was a megastructure built by the Traveler around the black hole at the center of the Harmony's solar system. Based on the description and the capacity to generate destructive beams of energy, it seems virtually identical to the hypothetical Nicoll-Dyson Beam: a massive structure which would harness most if not all of the output of a celestial body to create a kind of 'laser.' The Gift Mast is said to have created a 'sting' that damaged even the Dreadnought, a ship similar in size to a dwarf world. This was not enough to defeat the Hive, however, and the Harmony were defeated and exterminated by the onrushing forces of Oryx the Taken King.
