Merok, Eir Prince is a powerful Hive Knight and a member of the Swarm Princes – a group of legendary Knights who served the god Crota, Son of Oryx. Merok was encountered within the Gatehouse on the Moon as part of the The Sword of Crota Mission, where he was slain by the The Guardian in their quest to destroy the Sword of Crota.

Four years later, he would reappear alongside two of his fellow princes, Garok and Dakoor, with title of "Spurned by Eir." Now serving the Witch Queen, Savathûn, the three disgraced Knights would serve as the bosses of the Keep of Honed Edges Ascendant Challenge within the Dreaming City.
