Perks
Column 1
Wrathful Pack - Holding Reload activates this weapon's alternate fire: this weapon will lock onto targets caught in the player's crosshairs. When fired, slow, yet powerful rounds will track their targets. 4 rounds of the magazine are consumed per round.
Column 2
Perfect Balance - This weapon has extremely low recoil.
Column 3
Zen Moment - Causing damage with this weapon increases it's stability.
Column 4
Alpha's Command - Pressing the Right Thumbstick allows a player to target something this weapon can't, such as automata or targets.
Column 5
Armor Piercing Rounds - These iridium-core rounds overpenetrate targets. Their mass slows down handling.
Catalyst
Extended Magazine - Increases magazine count from 16 to 20.
Magnetic Accelerated Rounds - Wrathful Pack Rounds fired by this weapon move slightly faster. Rounds now penetrate cover and negate shields/barriers.
Ornaments
- Like Old Times: Equip this Weapon Ornament to change the appearance of The Jackal's Howl. Acquired with the Catalyst.
- Grey's Patronage: Equip this Weapon Ornament to change the appearance of The Jackal's Howl. Rare drop in The Lion's Scourge Dungeon.
- Nanomania: Equip this Weapon Ornament to change the appearance of The Jackal's Howl. Rare drop from runs of Jackal's Solitary.
Trivia
- The Jackal's Howl has similar appearance to Aksis' Personal weapon.
- It also does the same reload animation of the Lord of Wolves gun.
- This probably because it a modified version of the Shrapnel Launcher, which the Lord of Wolves's based off of.
- The Scout rifle is the first, and only Exotic weapon to be temporary available to PS4 players, in the Jackal's Labyrinth. But the gun, was then made available for all players, in the Season of Opulence.
