"The Black Garden sprawls before me. It twists and shifts almost too fast to follow, sometimes grounded on Mars, sometimes… somewhere else. Through its twisting passages lurches a hulking construct. Called forth by the faith of the Sol Progeny, the Groundskeeper keeps them safe."

The Groundskeeper is a unique Ultra Vex Minotaur that is found only in the Quest Blood in the Garden. Its mission is to protect the Sol Progeny.

Located in the Black Garden on Mars, the Guardian must kill Descendant Goblins and ordinary Minotaurs to raise an Anger meter for it to spawn. Goblins give a 2% increase in Anger while Minotaurs give about 7% to 10%. Once the Anger meter gets above 100% the Groundskeeper will spawn and will remain unless the meter drops below 100%.

Trivia

Since The Groundskeeper is a Minotaur, it can be assumed that this is a reference to the Minotaur from ancient Greek mythology, which was a guardian of a massive maze.
