- "Reports suggest he is commanded by Primus Ta'aun and shares battalion duties with Valus Mau’ual. Together, this Cabal triumvirate is responsible for the deaths of countless Guardians on the Martian battlefields"
- — Grimoire description
Valus Tlu'urn is a Cabal commander encountered in the Shield Brothers Strike. He is a bond-brother with both Primus Ta'aun and Valus Mau'ual, and is part of the landing party aboard Dantalion Exodus VI, the warship that the Skyburners ram into the Dreadnaught. Either as a gambit to compel the Hive to surrender or to avenge the loss of Primus Ta'aun, Tlu'urn and Mau'ual breach the Dreadnaught's power core and threaten to destroy it, which would destroy the Hive vessel and take half of the Solar System with it. For those who face Valus Tlu'urn, he wields a massive back-mounted Arc-cannon which delivers a payload so powerful the Vanguard estimates Tlu’urn could face a Goliath Tank himself.
Gameplay
- "Martian battlefield reports note that Valus Tlu'urn's weapon of choice is a back-mounted Arc cannon. The device delivers a payload so powerful the Vanguard estimates Tlu’urn could face a Goliath Tank himself."
- — Grimoire description
Tlu'urn and Mau'ual aid each other in battle against a Guardian strike team; if Mau'ual falls first, Tlu'urn gains his sword and Jetpack charge ability for the remainder of the battle.[1] Unlike Mau'ual he will continue to use his Arc Mortar and Projection Shield, but if attacked at close range use his Bond brother's sword for defense. It is recommended to leave him for the last, as he will not move unless a player steps within his shield at which points he relocates.
Trivia
- Valus Tlu'urn was formerly named Valus Tra'uarn during development as seen in the Taken King ViDoc.
