After the revival of Skolas, Fikrul would retreat to The Watchtower within the Tangled Shore, which had be converted into a Revenant Fortress. He began fall deeper into madness, as he became more and more desperate to prove his worth as Kell of Kells and as a savior for his children, and not as just as a mistake born of Ahamkara magic. But unbeknownst to The Fanatic, the Guardian would later learn about Fikrul's new stronghold through information given to them by Spider. Meanwhile, Eido had begun to try and weaponize her experiments against the Scorn. She gifted the Guardian the framework for a new weapon and asked them to storm The Revenant Fortress and collect some practical data so that the weapon may come to life.
The Guardian soon arrived at the Revenant Fortress, and were greeted by many scorn watching them from afar. They did not attack because in order for Fikrul to claim the title of Kell of Kells, he must be seen killing the Guardian first. As the Slayer Baron navigated their way through the Fortress, they would discover that, The Echo of Riis had created a refelective dimensional projection of the fortress, known as the Revenant Plain. Fikrul had also used the Echo's power to resurrect a few of the same Scorned Barons, that the Guardian once killed during their quest to avenge Cayde-6; Araskes, the Trickster, who would show up multiple times throughout the mission. Kaniks, the Mad Bomber, who occupied the fighting pits within the Fortress. And Hiraks, the Mindbender, who managed to master the ability to travel between the material plain and the revenant plain. The Guardian would once again defeat each of these Barons one at a time, but their victory would be short lived as Fikrul would later show up seconds later to revive them again while also announcing that he and his scorn no longer feared the violence and death the Guardian brought to them and once again proclaimed himself as a savior for all Eliksni. Eventually, After finally despatching Araskes, the Guardian would end up confronting Fikrul within his throne room. However, midway through the fight, The Fanatic would retreat and summon another Scorned Baron to fight for him, Reksis Vahn, the Hangman. Like the other pervious barons, the Guardian would eliminate the Hangman as they did before and claim his flail to assist Eido in making stronger tonics. They also managed to complete Eido's framework, adding a new weapon to their arsenal. But with no way to permanently kill Fikrul, the Guardian would withdraw and return to The Last City to plan their next move.
As the Guardian prepared for another attack on Fikrul's Fortress, Eramis revealed that the Fikrul had captured Ixis, an eliksni apothecary from Old Riis, who had been sending secret messages from within her cell on a public frequency under Fikrul's nose to Eido. Following Ixis' notes, Eido began to craft a special kind of tonic that would alter the polarity of either within an eliksni and purge the darkness from their body, surffussing it with Light. This could be used to make Fikrul mortal and grant him a permanent final death. With this information in mind, The Guardian would venture back into Fikrul's Fortress again for a second time to find and rescue Ixis. Upon arriving at the Apothecary's cell, Ixis expresses in her native tongue that she will continue to assist Eido in crafting her Tonic of Either Clarification, but would do so from within her cell as she despised the humans of the Last City. She would also continue to study the Revenant Scorn and report her findings to Eido as she is too valuable of an asset for Fikrul to kill or convert into scorn due to her knowledge of either. After this conversation the Guardian would go on to once again confront Fikrul again in his throne room. Just like last time, Fikrul would retreat and summon another one of his champions to fight for him midway through the fight. The champion in question being a Screeb Matriarch this time. The Guardian would slay the abomination and would withdraw back to the Last City once again, with Crow stating that next time they come back, it will be to finish the job.
As the Guardian prepared to confront Fikrul for a final time, Eido managed to finish the tonic of either clarification, placing into a paracausal injector and sending the tonic over to the Guardian. With the final battle for the title of Kell of Kells fast approaching, and Mithrax on the verge of fully succumbing to Nezarec's Curse, the Guardian would venture back to the Revenant Fortress for a third run, with the intent to end The Fanatic for the last time. The Guardian would storm through the Fortress, killing Araskes, Kaniks, and Hiraks once again before confronting Fikrul for the final time in his throne room. This time, Fikrul did not summon another champion to fight for him. He would face the Guardian by himself to show everyone that he was not a mistake and that he was worthy to become Kell of Kells. The Slayer Baron and The Fanatic engaged each other in a great battle, until Fikrul prepared to unleash a powerful Arc energy attack, forcing the Guardian to retreat into the Revenant Plain. Fikrul would follow after them, but at that moment the Guardian shattered the mirror gateway behind him, stunning Fikrul on the spot. The Guardian proceeded to unload their entire arsenal upon The Fanatic, causing him to retreat back to into the material plain. The Guardian chased after him, and found Fikrul greatly weakened but still willing to continue the fight. With the Eido's tonic in hand, The Guardian rushed towards Fikrul and stabbed the tonic into his chest, piercing his heart and injecting the tonic into his body. Fikrul tried to pull the injector out of himself but it was already too late as the tonic began to work it's magic, slowly killing him from within. As Fikrul's body began to dissolve away, his final thoughts were of him wondering who would save his children. The Fanatic then took his last breath and finally perished as he succumbed to the tonics effects, relieving the Echo of Riis from his grasp and ending his Revenant Scorn Uprising once and for all.
