Vry'lak, Retainer of the Chantry is a Tormentor servant of Shin'ra, the Forge Master. It was charged by the Witness prior to its own defeat, would be appointed to the Hive Disciple. After the Forged Pyramid was created through the use of the Echo of Conquests, the Tormentor would be appointed to protect its Chantry. It would be the one behind the scenes, sending the forces of the Dread, Hive and Taken to protect the Chantry from further incursions from the Guardians before standing against them itself.
