It was designated as the last safe system available to the Qugu during their war with the Hive, leading Warden Te'Qal to order the remnants of the Seht Armada to Se'Otan after the Hive ravaged Seht. Unfortunately, Savathûn, the Witch Queen had tampered with the gate leading to Se'Otan before the Qugu's arrival, causing it to redirect them into the Ascendant Realm where she and her forces lay in wait for them.[1][2]
