Häkke is a weapon foundry of the Last City[1]. Häkke weapons feature hexagonal designs and tan surfaces with orange stripes. Häkke weapons are simple, reliable, and focus on offense. Perks are unlocked first, with stat modifiers as the last upgrades[2]. They are frequently high impact, low rate of fire Kinetic weapons that have better accuracy and recoil when they are aimed and stationary, in sharp contrast to the high-mobility weapons of VEIST. Hakke weapons are typically named after a famous ruler or warrior followed by a letter (i.e. Galahad-E). Häkke weapons are one of three foundries featured in Armsday. They make Auto Rifles, Pulse Rifles, Hand Cannons, Shotguns, Sniper Rifles, and Sidearms.

As of the Red War, Häkke had extended its arsenal and products towards target-tracking rocket launchers, scout rifles, submachine guns, grenade launchers and Sparrows[3]. Over three years after the Red War, City investigator V. Maier found out Häkke had scooped up a piece of the Traveler's Cage and kept it in their armory. The technology was stolen by three Psions of the Psion Conclave, in order to research Ghaul's Light-trapping technology, to the horror of Ikora Rey[4]. In The Witch Queen, Häkke was given a foundry origin trait.

In Season of the Seraph, it is revealed that Häkke previously had a predecessor in the Golden Age known as Häkke Heavy Industries at the time. During that period, the company was a defense contractor working under Clovis Bray I that had apparently attempted to recreate the powers of The Anomaly. Production hit a dead-end until they were provided with the data for Synthweave, leading to the creation of Revision Zero. In the present day, The Guardian would obtain a derelict frame along with schematics for the weapon, prompting them to use the Relic on Mars and the assistance of Fenchurch Everis to restore it to its original function. At the same time, Fenchurch would investigate Häkke and discover, among other things, the aforementioned incident with Caiatl's Psions.

Trivia

Häkke Upgrade emblem obtainable from Banshee-44 in Destiny 2
  • According to Bungie, Häkke is officially pronounced "Ha-kuh", though Cayde-6 will pronounce it as "Ha-kay" during Cayde's Stash. Some NPCs in the new Tower will sometimes also pronounce it as "Ha-kay".
  • Häkke weapons bear a close resemblance to modern-day weaponry, as part of their emphasis on function over form.
  • Some Häkke weapons have bullet measurements printed on the side. Auto Rifles are in 5.56mm, sidearms are in 9mm and hand cannons take .44 caliber rounds.
  • According to Tower NPC dialogue, Häkke weapons are favored by Titans.
  • The Häkke Upgrade emblem was used in a community-wide Trials of Osiris Flawless win-trading method in February 2021.
  • A good majority of the firearms manufactured by Häkke have ties to current day existing firearms, for example, most if not all auto rifles have a clear influence from the AR-15/M4 platforms as well as generally having the magazine of the FN herstal Scar-H, another example is some of their sidearms clearly based off of Kel-tec, Ruger, and Glock designs given the grips are different, the submachine guns appear to be loosely based off of the IWI Uzi as well as some influences from the HK MP7, another example are thier shotguns various ones appear to be based off of the Mossberg 500 series as well as some being based off of the Franchi Spas-12, and of course their sniper rifles are very close to the Barrett M82s or M107, an argument can be made that it looks like the CR-50. In total the influences to the Häkke weapons are clear.
