Transcript

(Mission Begins)
- Zavala: The Fallen have tracked us to Nessus. They have the Exodus Black on lockdown, and damaged Failsafe's systems in their raid. Both are key assets to our endeavors here. Operation Piccolo has begun.
- Ghost: Piccolo? Really?
- Cayde-6: We don't have to call it that. We'll give it a better name. Later.
- Failsafe (Cheerful): I'm sorry to inconvenience you, Captain. Thank you. I have marked a trail of Arc pulses the Fallen have left behind.
Track the Fallen through Arc Pulses
- Ghost: One more set of coordinates! Those Fallen can't be far.
Pass through Arc Pulses so Ghost can use them to track the Fallen
- Ghost: let's see... Okay, the Fallen went that-a-way!
- Failsafe (Cheery): Captain. May I speak with you in private?
- Cayde: This sounds juicy. What's going on?
- Failsafe (Cheerful): Boop!
- Failsafe (Depressed): Sorry Cap, I cut the line. There's a buzzing in my brain. I think the Fallen are ripping up my ship.
- Ghost: I'll be right back!
- Ghost: This webbing on the floor looks like some kind of Arc conductor.
- Ghost: Ow. Ow! This really stings.
- Ghost: Thanks! I'm never leaving your backpack again. Probably best to keep keep Arc energy away.
- Ghost: Barrier is down! My scan showed the Fallen used Arc energy from Exodus tech to control everything here - including the barriers.
- Failsafe (Cheerful): Arc overloads Vex systems. They start leaking milk.
- Ghost: Lovely.
- Ghost: Failsafe, we haven't seen any signs of Fallen tinkering with your ship.
- Failsafe (Cheerful): they're still crawling around. They seem right at home.
- Ghost: I've located another set of Arc pules. Don't worry, we'll find them.
- Cayde: Hello? Everything okay?
- Ghost: We're fine! Failsafe was just being fidgety.
- Failsafe (Cheerful): Cayde unit? Ghost? Kindly delete yourselves.
- Cayde: Failsafe, how you holding up, buddy?
- Failsafe (Cheerful): I hid from the Vex for centuries! You blew my cover. Now the Fallen are inside my ship, tearing it apart! (Depressed): How do you think I'm doing?
- Cayde: Uhhh, Ghost! How are you holding up buddy?
- Failsafe (Cheery): Captain, Ghost. I want to thank you again for doing this. I'm sure the damage feels worse than it is.
- Ghost: Haha. Of course. Let's hurry. She's melting.
- Ghost: Lights are out. Where did they divert all the power to?
Thaviks, the Depraved is defeated.
- Ghost: Exodus Black is all clear. Failsafe, you feeling any better?
- Failsafe (Cheerful): Yes, thank you! As well as a ship AI can when her crew has died.
- Ghost: We'll always be here for you.
- Cayde: And who's better than us? We're awesome.
- Failsafe (Depressed): Yeah. Yeah, I guess so.

Rework
(Mission Begins)
- Failsafe (Depressed): Captain! You're finally here.
- Saint-14: Failsafe knew you would answer her distress call.
- Failsafe (Cheerful): The Captain enjoys dismantling Vex almost as much as you do, Saint-unit.
- Saint-14: Hah! Are we rubbing you off on you, Failsafe?
- Failsafe (Depressed): Not really. I've got plenty of motivation to destroy Vex.
The Guardians ride Heavy Pikes towards the Crash Site. Upon arriving, they defeat forces of the House of Salvation led by a Brig before being ambushed by Compelled Vex. Receiving an Arc Charge from destroying a Elite Hydra, they deposit it into a machine to lower the barrier leading into the maze.
- Ghost: Be careful when I'm gone!
Arriving at the center of the maze, the Guardians destroys the Overcharge Shanks and summon their Ghost to hack into the Fallen's machine maintaining the barrier.
- Ghost: This machine-it's some kind of Arc energy siphon.
As the Ghost hacks into the machine's systems, the Guardians defend it from hordes of incoming Fallen, including a Warrior's Enforcer. With the system successfully hacked, the fireteam slay a Disciple of Kridis before continuing their journey into the maze. Eventually they arrive at the wreckage of the Exodus Black.
- Failsafe (Cheerful): I detect barriers nearby. These Arc charges may serve a related function.
Defeating Elite Compelled Minotaurs, the fireteam retrieve Arc charges from their remains and deposit them into a generator to lower the Fallen shield around a Scorch Cannon. They shoot the cannon at another generator to disable the barriers, thus allowing them to advance forward to the Glade of Echoes. Destroying a Walker standing in their way, the Guardians delve into a dark cave towards the Exodus Black's Aft.
- Ghost: Brrr… cold and dark in here.
- Saint-14: Perfect for an ambush. Stay on your guard.
Traversing up the platforms, the Guardians eventually arrive into the Exodus Black's Aft. Shortly after destroying the Shanks within the room, they are ambushed by Fallen forces led by Pykis, House Salvation.
- Ghost: What was that?
As Pykis becomes severely wounded by the fireteam, it retreats and teleports way from the battle.
- Ghost: This steal field is vulnerable to Arc energy! Guardian, are you thinking what I'm thinking?
With Vex forces joining the battle, the fireteam destroy Hydra to retrieve their Arc energy and deposit it into a generator to overload the security system. As Pykis re-emerges, the Guardians defeat the Captain, bringing an end to the House of Salvation's scouting mission on Nessus.
- Saint-14: Ah, that is better… Failsafe, you agree?
- Failsafe (Cheerful): Most lifeforms and AIs prefer silence to gunfire. Guardians are the notable exception.
- Saint-14: You know us to well.
