A Year is the span of time between the initial release of a Destiny game or expansion, and the release of the next expansion.[1]
The term is typically used to discuss the content, features and updates released in a given period.
List of Years in Destiny[edit]
- Year 1 - from the launch of Destiny, to the release of The Taken King
- Year 2 - from the release of The Taken King, to the release of Rise of Iron
- Year 3 - from the release of Rise of Iron, to the release of Hotfix 2.6.0.1
List of Years in Destiny 2[edit]
- Year 1 - from the launch of Destiny 2, to the release of Forsaken
- Year 2 - from the release of Forsaken, to the release of Shadowkeep
- Year 3 - from the release of Shadowkeep, to the release of Beyond Light
- Year 4 - from the release of Beyond Light, to the release of The Witch Queen
- Year 5 - from the release of The Witch Queen, to the release of Lightfall
