The Aeon Maul, also called Hydra Torch Hammer, is a type of Vex all-range heavy weaponry employed exclusively by Hydras. It functions like rapid-fire dual Torch Hammers and deals Void damage.
Gameplay
Guardians must get out of the way very quickly or the splash damage will make short work of them. Even if their target is behind cover, Hydras will still fire them anyway to either flush them out or suppress their targets. This can be exploited like all other enemy fire, for Hydras will keep firing at the player's last known position.
The Undying Mind and some Taken Hydras are outfitted with a Solar variant, though its other properties are unchanged.
