Ravenous Taken Phalanxes are the Elite variant of the Taken Phalanx, appearing rarely as a more resilient enemy. They can be distinguished from their Minor counterparts by their spikes protruding from their back, and either a more silvery or gold glow to them if they appear as Majors.
