Gameplay

It is a medium rate-of-fire and high impact Scout Rifle that has set the benchmark for Scout Rifle with many players calling it the best Scout Rifle, if not the best primary weapon in Destiny. The special combination of the perks Firefly, Triple Tap and Hand-laid stock as well as the solid Torch sight sold by the Dead Orbit vendor combined with the great archetype for all-around usage made it an extremely consistent and deadly weapon, especially in PvE due to its laser-esque accuracy and the Firefly perk that could activate. Unfortunately, the Dead Orbit has stopped selling this weapon as a vendor purchase or random drop as of the release of Rise of Iron, so the only way to get one as of the Age of Triumph drop is to either receive one from a Scout Rifle bounty from the Crucible Quartermaster, or wait for a good roll on a Scout Rifle of the same archetype, such as the Tuonela SR4. With both the solid archetype and the all-around perk combinations, this gun is widely considered to be among the best weapons in Destiny's history and can be used in virtually any scenario.
