An Adept is a Hive Acolyte variant that appears in the King's Fall Raid.

Gameplay

Adepts are Majors and usually accompanied by a group of standard Acolytes. Killing an Adept will trigger an AoE burst, empowering nearby Acolytes with the ability to fire eye blasts akin to those of an Ogre. They are featured as part of the Totems, Warpriest, and Golgoroth encounters.[1]

Adepts reappear in Destiny 2, with the reprisal of the King's Fall raid. They are now Elites, but are otherwise unchanged in behavior.[2]

Trivia

  • Adepts in Destiny appear to be from the Hidden Swarm due to their color and armor. The significance of this is unknown.
