Lurkers are a shield-bearing Scorn unit.
Overview
Lurkers are Scorn warriors equipped with a Scorn Shield to block incoming damage for themselves and their allies, and Scorn Pistols to attack from short-middle range. They primarily stand in front of hordes of Scorn or important commanders, and move in to catch enemy fire with their shields. While similar in role to the Cabal Phalanx, their smaller shields and low health make it easier to shoot at their legs or heads, staggering them.[1]
Variants

Trivia
- The Lurker is the third enemy type to wield a shield in battle. The first being the Cabal Phalanx and the second being the Hive Vanquisher.
- However, unlike the Vanquisher's shield, the Lurker's does not shatter.
- The Lurker's shield looks akin to the front plate of a Servitor.
- The Lurkers bear resemblance to the Kig-Yar, an enemy race from Bungie's Halo series, as per the similarity of shields, height, and weapon choice.
