- "I’ve never heard of a Brood Queen so close to the surface. Mission reports from the Hellmouth on Luna don't even mention them."
- — The Ghost
Brood Queens are unique, and extremely rare and high-ranking Hive Wizards that are charged with spawning more Hive.
Overview
Brood Queens are special variants of Wizards that are responsible for birthing entire legions of Hive. As a result of their important role, Brood Queens are so well hidden and protected that expeditions and missions launched into the Hellmouth on the Moon don’t even mention them.
The first Brood Queen ever encountered, In Anânh, Brood Queen was larger and looked noticeably different from other Wizards; possessing a large abdomen with bony protrusions that ended with a tail.
Brood Queen's are a superior form of wizard than their Brood Mother lesser. It is unknown what connection the two forms have to each other.
Known Brood Queens
- In Anânh, Brood Queen – A Brood Queen who was the main source of the Tangled Shore Hive, and possibly mated with Hiraks, the Mindbender.

- Xillox, Oppression of Xivu Arath – A Wizard, that is possibly a Brood Queen, who got corrupted into a Wrathborn.
