Gameplay
The Trials of Osiris are a variant of the Skirmish game type, with two teams of three players competing against each other. Players can be revived by teammates at the site of their death. There are three main differences between the Trials and standard Skirmish: the Trials take place on only one map, The Burning Shrine on Mercury; player level advantages are enabled as in the Iron Banner; and participation requires either a Tournament Ticket earned as a reward from the Crucible or, if the player has the exotic weapon bounty "An Unknown Patron" active, an Osiris Coin purchased for 1 Mote of Light. Victory streaks in the Trials earn exclusive rewards, but three losses will force the player to drop out until they can acquire another Tournament Ticket or Osiris Coin.[2]
