Wrathborn are mindless, enraged versions of their former selves that are neither [[Fallen]] nor [[Hive]], attacking former allies as readily as enemies. They are marked by a sickly green-glowing miasma that hovers around their heads, and leave behind a trail of noxious green slime that can be used to track them. Unlike the [[Taken]], they do not appear to have any additional abilities beyond those they possessed before turning. However, they are capable of performing Hive magic that allows them to move between realities and access the [[Ascendant realm]] in an instance.

The Wrathborn are a corrupt army that serves Xivu Arath, God of War, debuting in "Season of the Hunt". In addition to the Hive, several corrupted Fallen and Cabal also appear serving in their ranks.

Overview

Wrathborn are mindless, enraged versions of their former selves that are neither Fallen nor Hive, attacking former allies as readily as enemies. They are marked by a sickly green-glowing miasma that hovers around their heads, and leave behind a trail of noxious green slime that can be used to track them. Unlike the Taken, they do not appear to have any additional abilities beyond those they possessed before turning.

History

Following the events of Season of Arrivals and the sudden disappearance of the Witch Queen, Xivu Arath, the Hive God of War began to summon Hive towers known as Cryptoliths across the system that would allow her to corrupt and control the forces of the Hive, Fallen and Cabal to become an army built for destruction and chaos.
