The Ancients are The Last City's designation for an unnamed race of an almost entirely extinct alien race that colonized the Solar System millions of years ago. They were renowned for harnessing both the Light and Darkness through their channeling of the Void's power. It is unknown what drove them to extinction, as all that remains of their civilization is the immense Veilgate Network and the ruined city of Levania, which currently remains buried beneath the Decrepit Wastes.
