The Templar is an extremely powerful Vex Hydra unit found in the Vault of Glass. Unlike normal Hydras, the Templar has a full shield surrounding it. The only way to bring its shield down is using the relic shield's super. The Templar has a special ability called "Ritual of Negation"; anyone who has been marked for negation, either by oracles or fanatics, is killed instantly once the Templar performs the ritual. This is because the Templar has the power to control reality, one of the powers being tested in the Vault.[1]
