Quests are a gameplay feature introduced in The Dark Below. Quests are specific challenges that are unlocked by completing more quests, with a set reward at the end.
For example, Eris Morn offers a series of quests to Guardians that unlock new content and reward unique items. The first three quests are story missions, with a unique Fusion rifle as the reward. She then offers two different quests; one involves hunting enemies in Patrol to unlock the Will of Crota strike, and the other involves a unique version of Chamber of Night called the Ritual of Sacrifice.[1]
