The denizens of Sol then began to celebrate their victory in the Last City, with Crow officially being named Cayde's successor as Hunter Vanguard, the Guardian and the Vanguard leadership understand that there was still much work to do in handling what remained of the Witness's servants, healing the Traveler and rebuilding what was lost. Mara eventually returned to the Reef with Crow visiting to tell tales to the children.

After helping the Guardian helped [[Luzaku]] to clear Taken from [[The Blooming Deep]], Mara would make contact with them, referring to the [[Lightbearer Wizard]] as the "Black Swan" of the Lucent Hive. At first, Luzaku was confused by this, but Mara reassured her that it was just a metaphor. Understanding this, Luzaku then asked Mara how she defined her, to which Mara explained that she saw Luzaku as a component of something greater; a bomb waiting to be detonated. Luzaku was intrigued by Mara's perspective and thought that maybe they should contemplate more on this some other time, to which Mara agreed.
