==Trivia==
*Before The Taken King expansion, when almost all ultras died they had the usual death animation but they would disappear with a orange flame consuming them but after Taken King ultras still had death animations but didn't evaporate. But some ultras in Destiny 2 still evaporate with the orange flames such as Skexis, Outcast Captain in the mission [[A New Frontier]].

An Ultra is the most superior type of enemy in Destiny due to their high damage and health values. They can be identified by their large sizes and the way their health bar is displayed: shown as a giant yellow bar with a skull next to it.

Gameplay

Ultras serve as bosses and are therefore meant to pose a challenge to Guardians. They appear in Story missions, Strikes, and Raids; rarely will they appear during Patrol, usually as part of a World Event. Any Ultra will have the following abilities:

  • Area-of-Effect Melee Attack
  • Heavy Ranged Attack (from their equipped weapon)
  • Summon Reinforcements
  • Rapid Movement
  • Immunity to Flashbang and Suppression Grenades
