- "They call it... "The Almighty". The crown jewel of the Red Legion and life's work of their leader... Dominus Ghaul. Ghaul has subjugated hundreds of worlds. Those that resisted... no longer exist. You see, the Almighty annihilates stars."
- — Sloane
The Almighty is a massive Cabal superweapon and the pride of the Red Legion.
Overview
- "Even if you manage to kill Ghaul, when the Red Legion leave a system — defeat or victory —they leave nothing behind."
- — Ghost
The Almighty is an enormous vessel, hundreds or thousands of times larger than Cabal warships and carriers and rivaling the size of the Dreadnaught.[1] It is said to be Dominus Ghaul's life work. After the Red Legion completes its conquest of a system, it deploys the Almighty to demolish it.
The Almighty works by consuming a nearby celestial body, breaking it down for fuel which in turn powers an energy beam that links with a star on a quantum level; as a result, if the Almighty were to be destroyed while still linked to a star, it would take the star with it and still destroy the system. The energy beam gradually destabilizes the star's magnetic field, weakening it to the point that the star collapses into a supernova. In the final moments before the explosion, the Almighty severs its link with the star and teleports to safety.

Trivia
- The Almighty is the third enemy spacecraft in the Destiny series that has entered the Solar System and has proven to be unable to be destroyed, for fear of destroying the entire system - the others being the Dreadnaught and The Leviathan.
- An early concept for the Almighty depicted it as a sun-destroying missile.
