Grimoire description

Shanks are small flying robotic drones used by the Fallen.[1]

Overview

Shanks appear to glide using a pair of vertical jet engines, and are able to hover. Shanks are equipped with small energy weapons, which deal Arc damage, located on their underside. They appear to have a glowing red "eye" centered on their front. The main chassis is oval shaped, if a little boxy. A rod extends downward on either side, possibly to help stabilize the Shank, and the engines are located along the back section. Shanks are very fragile, and can be destroyed with only a few shots.[2] They can be deployed from Devil Walkers.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; invalid names, e.g. too many

Shanks acquire a Solar shield during Nightfall Strikes and certain Public Events, making them more difficult to dispatch. The House of Wolves also employs three variants of the Shank: the Repeater Shank, equipped to shoot faster, the Exploder shank, acting as a suicide bomber, and the Tracer Shank, acting as a sniper variant.
