- "I am Lord of Wolves. You are an empty thing with two dead souls. This is my House. These are my terms. Surrender and I will only take your ships."
- — Virixas, Kell of Wolves to Queen Mara Sov.[1]
Virixas, Kell of Wolves was the previous Kell of the Fallen House of Wolves. As the other Fallen Houses gathered their forces on Earth in preparation for an all-out assault against the City to seize the Traveler, Virixas heeded the call of his brethren and ordered the Wolves' departure from the outer Solar System.[2] Regrouping at their stronghold of Ceres, the Wolves were challenged by the Awoken of the Reef.[1] Overconfident, Virixas met their challenge and deployed his forces.[1][2] In what became known as the Scatter, Queen Mara Sov activated powerful weapons called Harbingers that destroyed half of the Wolves' numbers.[1][2] Virixas perished in the battle, instigating a three-way struggle among the Wolves for the newly vacant Kellship that was eventually won by Skolas, the Rabid.[1][3]
