Shanks are small flying robotic drones used by the Fallen. They seem to fly using a pair of vertical jet engines, and are able to hover. Shanks are equipped with small energy weapons located on their underside. They appear to have a glowing red "eye" centered on their front. The main chasis is oval shaped when viewed from the front, if a little boxy, and extends backwards, tapering off slightly and then cutting off to a flat end. A rod extends downward on either side, possibly to help stabilize the Shank, and the engines are located along the back section. Shanks are very fragile, and can be destroyed with only a few shots.[1]
