Archons are high priests of the Fallen, who act as the intermediary between the Kell and the Prime Servitor of each House.[1] If an Archon falls, that house's Prime Servitor becomes vulnerable to attack.[2] Archons lead a House's machine-worshiping priesthood, which includes other, subservient priests and a sect of Splicers.
Archons fight just like Captains, including their Blink ability and Shrapnel Launcher, except they also have an "Ultra Smash" ability that they use against Guardians who get too close. This attack can be enough to kill a Guardian, or knock them back and severely damage them. [3]
