Ultra Barrier Taken Captains are former elite Fallen pirates that were Taken, then granted enhanced durability and stamina by the Darkness. They would be further enhanced by Shin'ra, the Sorrow-Maker and granted new abilities.
Gameplay
Like their Major counterparts, the Ultra Barrier Take Captains are just like normal Taken Captains, utilizing their Taken Shrapnel Launchers for their main weapons. But when at low health, they will use a unique ability, which is projecting a barrier-shield, to keep them safe and regenerate their lost health, but will still use their blighted weapons, as well as being able to use their Taken ability. They also use Darkness bolts for their advantage but when they make contact with players, they will be detained inside a Barrier shield. To prevent this, Guardians must use Anti-Barrier rounds to keep these champions from shielding, along with breaking the detainment fields, letting anyone to sink damage on the captains. But compared to normal champions, it takes several shots to even suppress its abilities. Make sure to stun this enemy in an advantageous location.
