Maya Sundaresh retrieves the Echo of Command from the Vex Network and converts the Vex on Nessus into a new collective, terraform the planetoid with radiolaria from within its core.

The Upheaval on Nessus is an on-going conflict between the Guardians of the Vanguard aided by Failsafe and a newly created Vex collective following the command of a mysterious leader known only as the Conductor. Guardians must investigate the strange Vex terraforming Nessus in response to a paracausal Echo having impacted the planetoid as a byproduct released from the Traveler following the destruction of the Witness.
